Privacy Policy

MedTracker is a private, family-use medication management application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how it is protected.

1. Who Can Access This App

Access is restricted to a fixed list of authorized family members. No public registration is available. Access is granted solely at the discretion of the application owner.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the app:

• Google account email and display name — collected at login via Google OAuth to verify your identity. We request only your email address; no other Google account data is accessed.
• Medication information — names, dosages, schedules, and notes that you enter.
• Dose logs — timestamps and optional notes recorded when a dose is logged, along with which family member logged it.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information collected is used solely to operate MedTracker:

• To authenticate you and maintain your session
• To display medication schedules and dose history
• To send SMS dose reminders to registered phone numbers

We do not use your information for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third parties, except:

• Google — handles authentication via OAuth 2.0. Your login is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — the application and database are hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States. AWS is bound by its own privacy policy.
• SMS provider — phone numbers are passed to an SMS service solely to deliver dose reminders.

5. SMS Reminders and Mobile Numbers

If you are enrolled to receive SMS dose reminders, the following applies:

• No sharing for marketing: Mobile information and messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile number and SMS consent are used solely to deliver medication dose reminders and for no other purpose.
• No sale of mobile data: We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your phone number or messaging consent to any third party.
• Message frequency varies based on the number of medications and schedules configured. You may receive up to one message per scheduled dose time per day.
• Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• To stop receiving reminders: Reply STOP to any reminder message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further reminders will be sent.

6. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in a private MySQL database hosted on AWS. Access credentials are stored in AWS Secrets Manager. All traffic is encrypted in transit via HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). The application is not accessible to the public.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as the application is in use. If you would like your data removed, contact the application owner and it will be deleted promptly.

8. Children's Privacy

This application is not intended for use by individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of any changes.
